Action 13 in European Commission flag European Commission

The Commission will assess existing research projects and launch new ones under the ‘ICT for Governance and Policy Modelling’ objective of the 2011-2012 FP7 Work Programme and ensure further exchanges of knowledge and best practice.

Has the EC conducted the assessment of existing research projects under ICT for Governance and Policy Modelling objective? Yes The EC carried out the study "ICT for governance and policy modeling - Analysis of current FP 7 projects and future research challenges" for the assessment of the 2009 and 2011 research projects.This report provides an overview of the current research in e-government, particularly resulting from the priority theme “ICT for governance and policy modelling” included in calls 4 and 7 of the seventh framework program (FP 7) of the European Commission, and looking into research needs for the future in the field in order to meet expectations resulting from strategies over the next five to ten years at European level. The final report includes the recommendations for future directions in light of 2020 and beyond.
