Member States will ensure that a ‘second generation’ of points of single contact will function as fully fledged eGovernment centres beyond the requirements and areas covered by the Services Directive.

Does the Point of Single Contact cover all the services foreseen in the Service Directive? Yes The Portuguese Point of Single Contact has already services regarding social security, taxes and employment matters, as foreseen in the second phase of the Services Directive.
Can all the administrative processes be done through the Point of Single Contact? Yes Through the Point of Single Contact, users have access to all the administrative processes, directly in the portal or indirectly by being redirected to other authorities’ websites.
Does the PSC facilitate cross-border provision of services? Yes Users from other Member States can authenticate and sign online at the Portuguese PSC. Besides the access and signature, information is presented in English and some forms are also in English (Zero Licensing initiative).
