Action 17 in United Kingdom flag United Kingdom

Member States should roll out cross-border services based on the results of PEPPOL and SPOCS.

Indicator Status Evidence
Have you rolled out or planning to any (separate) cross-border service based on PEPPOL results? No
Have you rolled out or planning to any cross-border service based on SPOCS results? No The outcomes of the SPOCS project are being taken forward as part of the e-SENS LSP project that will be considering the issue of sustainability across all the different SPOCS workstreams in depth. The UK has decided not to participate in the e-SENS LSP at this stage. However, it’s worth bearing in mind the key issue around sustainability for SPOCS centres. It is dependent upon increasing the volume of transactions going through the national Points of Single Contact (PSCs). This is still too low, especially in terms of cross-border activity. Until this is addressed satisfactorily, we see no business case for Member States to make further and significant investment in either their PSCs and/or implementing the SPOCS solutions. Member States and the EUGO network are working on addressing this issue but it will take time.
